Week #3

Thing #5 I had no idea that sites like Flickr even existed. What an amazing technology that helps shrink the world even that much more.
I had a hard time figuring out how to get this picture into my blog. The picture I wanted wouldn't let me post. Then I figured out that there are certain categories for pictures and I needed to find one that would allow copying. I found this one on the Creative
Commons section of Flickr. It is called "Books, books everywhere and not a drop to..." by Alieeny Beaney.
I do want to explore creating an account and posting my own pictures.

Week #2

Thing #3 Set up blog

This is fun. I am beginning to understand why our students are so drawn to these new technologies. Designing the avatar was a blast and you can get lost in all the little adventures.

Thing #4 Register blog

I am glad to see that so many other CSLA folks are on this learning journey as well.

Week #1

Thing #1: I'm hoping the program will help me reach my goal of becoming more familiar with emerging technologies with the idea that I can actually teach some of these to my teachers next school year.

Thing #2: The lifelong learning presentation was a good refresher...even though I didn't learn any new information. I just finished up getting my Master's, so have been doing all those things right along the way. I did like the idea of choosing an end goal for this program. It will help keep me focused.

Here I go...

Well, I am excited. This is my first journey into the world of blogging.

I'm looking forward to learning new things as I venture through the School Library Learning 2.0 program.
